Vedic Art Retreat in Sintra Portugal 2018

Vedic Art Course Level 1 & 2 in Dublin, June 2018

1st Level Vedic Art Course - September 2014

Looking for a new venue for the course I came upon Essentials Wellness Centre run by Debra Macklin. I was amazed to find such a quiet and bring place in the heart of Dublin city centre. Plus the energy there is amazing! Besides being a super-host, Debra introduced me to DoTerra essential oils, that changed the way I deal with my health.

The course I taught in this space in September 2014 was attended by 4 vibrant ladies, who joined together on their creative path in Vedic Art way - with open minds and open hearts. During the 2 weekends there were lots of released emotions, lots of inner work and lots of fun and laughter. I am really proud of how bravely they jumped into the process, allowing the principles to take them really deep into their own inner worlds. They finished the process with smiles on their faces, happy to share their work with friends and family who attended small Art Show at the end of the course.

Individual Vedic Art Course - July 2014

Janice flew all the way from Denver, CO to immerse herself into the Vedic Art process and Irish energy. We spent a week together, painting and talking about the Spirit and  Goddess of Art. I was blessed to be able to meet such a wonderful soul and guide her further on her life path!

Vedic Art Course in Polish - 1st and 2nd Level - June 2014

I have invited 2 lovely ladies to the course at my house. For Patrycja it was her first course and Monika was doing the continuation level of Vedic Art. June granted us with lovely sunny weather, so they were able to paint outside as well as inside. My dog Oscar was delighted to be able to join us, mostly as a listening student and comforting companion, although his paws wanted to wander onto the canvas too ;) Vedic Art gives everyone exactly what they need, and that is also what has happened during this course!

Vedic Art Course - 1st & 2nd Level - March 2014

I have searched for a new venue to host my next Vedic Art course and decided to give Bio.Space033 a try. It's a place used my many artists for their shows and workshops so I figured it would suit us as well. The space was basic, but at least we didn't have to worry about making a mess, so we could unleash our creative powers without restraints :) It turned out to be a bit chilly to work there with small appliances surprising us with unexpected accidents, but warm spirits and helpful Irish hearts made it work.

For the first time I taught both levels of Vedic Art at the same time and it worked out great. Barbara, who was continuing her Vedic Art journey was able to go deeper into the creative process, while Berna, Catherine and James connected with their inner creators. Reflections were floating around between exercises and, as always, students not only gained confidence in their own abilities but also learned a great deal about themselves.

We had a nice evening art show to complete the course with very good turnout. Students were able to share their happiness and insights from their Vedic Art experience and the creative process continued as the viewers connected with paintings for their own benefit.

"Having never painted before, I was pleasantly surprised to find that by following the Vedic Art process I could paint. Over the 4 days of this course I created 10 paintings and finished 2 of them. The process was expertly facilitated by Lorelai I. Dali. I found the process very stimulating and affirming. It really kick started my creativity and I found myself bursting with ideas. This course gave me a visceral experience of the creative process. I now know what creativity is and how to access it within myself.

Over the course of the 4 days I started to learn how to feel as opposed to thinking about how I was feeling. I started to trust the process and allow the initial chaos. It will take more time for me to become comfortable with allowing something to emerge from this chaos as opposed to imposing a concept on the process. Overall the course helped me feel very good about myself.

I found the process very affecting. It stimulated my subconscious hugely. This manifested in my head feeling like it might burst. For a few days after each weekend my subconscious mind was very busy leaving me thinking very slowly and very tired.

The principles underpinning this Vedic painting process are, I believe, applicable to one’s life. I highly recommend Lorelai I. Dali as a leader of this Vedic Art process. Lorelai freely gives of her wisdom and counselling skills as she teaches you this process."

Vedic Art Level 2 Course - November 2013, Swords

What a pleasure to see two of my level 1 graduates wanting to go further into the Vedic Art process! It was a small - 2 person group, so we painted in my home studio for 2 weekends. Since it was the continuation level, there was more freedom as to the exercises and more depth to understanding the principles and their additions. We talked more and connected with the inner experiences on top of creating more amazing pictures. It was my first time teaching the 2nd level and I have to say that it went really well!

Intensive Vedic Art Level 1 Course - June Bank Holiday 2013, Dublin

Even though the course was pretty intense - doing the 17 principles and their exercises in 3 1/2 days in a row is quite a challenge - it was very insightful and enjoyable to the students. They were so inspired that they decided to share their reflections with you in hope to inspire you to join the Vedic Art journey as well!

"Absolutely loved the Vedic Art course! It really brings a spiritual richness to creativity and helps you to really connect to source and bring the magic in to your paintings and your life:-) The process of going through the 17 Vedic Art principles is a very intriguing journey to go through. The different principles and the effects of the process will be with me for a while yet I think, as it all sinks in on a sub-conscious level.

Highly recommend anyone to do it, and dont be worrying that you think you are not an artist and cant paint, thats not what its about. You might not have ever painted in your life and dont plan on doing it as a hobbie or anything, but as a healing process and just a way to learn to live with respect for all its well worth it!! Also it was extremely good value, so no excuses JUST DO IT!

Thanks again, Lorelai, I hope the sunflower is smiling at you today :-) xx

Reflection on the Vedic Art Weekend

"Speak to me of Joy
In the centre of my Heart
Where Light explodes
In majestic wonder
To encompass all of Being.

Where the Soul
Searches for itself
Beyond the boundaries of illusion
Beyond those self made prison walls
Where all is free at last.

Space to be Oneself
See the flower upon the wall
The wise man speak in paradox
The childhood cry of innocence
Before  we forgot it all.

Freedom to walk among the daffodils
A time of new beginnings
Where life itself has now become
The magic of the Soul.

Mandala Painting Workshop 11th of May 2013

An Indian shaman from Dakota tribe once said „Everything that makes the world powerful happens in a circle”.

The circle has been present in many different religions, philosophies, cultures throughout the ages. In Hinduism and Buddhism it is a diagraph, often drawn on the ground symbolizing the cosmic and universal planes. Such a circle drawn and consecrated in a proper ceremony becomes the point of concentration for the universal divine energy, bringing it to us. In paganism all rituals happen in a circle, being a sacred space, protected by spiritual guides and ancestors. This space was a place to invite the god and the goddess who would be asked to support us in healing or manifesting dreams.

The outline of the mandala serves as its boundary and protects from outside interference while protect the inner power. Mandala actually reaches far into the cosmos and it’s up to us where it ends. Despite the fact that it’s drawn on a flat surface it is multidimensional - it is like a projection of other world - other dimension of consciousness.

Here's how we created our own Mandalas.

Vedic Art Level 1 Course - April/May 2013, Dublin

"For me this course was a process of self-discovery, of acting in spite of the contradictions within myself and trying to find a point of balance. The opposites of light & dark, beauty & ugliness, order & chaos all revealed themselves to me and demanded expression in my work. My challenge was to overcome my personal sensibilities and allow all polarities to manifest in the paintings" - George

Mandala Painting Workshop 9th of March 2013

It was a cold, wet and cloudy day in Dublin, but a group of dedicated ladies was determined not to let it get them down and instead - to have fun creating. We've had a short talk about origins and uses of Mandala and then colored some pre-printed Mandalas to get accustomed to its special energy. We continued by going deeper into our feelings and painted Releasing Mandalas with our eyes closed to let go of what we didn't need anymore. The main point of the day was painting our Dream Mandalas on canvas. You can see the results below!

Vedic Art Level 1 Course - February 2013, Dublin

What an amazing experience, watching five lovely ladies connect with their creative side! For 2 weekends they were challenged by unexpected exercises that allowed them to overcome their boundaries and open up to new possibilies, not just in painting but also in their lives. And how much fun their Inner Children had! I have to say that viewing Vedic Art process from the teacher's perspective for the first time simply blew my mind. I have taught many other workshops in healing field, but the inner growth through working Vedic principles is the most extraordinary by far. So proud of you ladies!

My Vedic Art Journey - by Lorelai I. Dali

I have always thought that there were only a handful of especially talented people in the world who could paint. “One must be born with the paintbrush in their hand” - so to speak. At school all my drawings were crooked and at very early I gave up on art classes all together. I hardly ever went to the galleries, except when sightseeing some foreign country. So imagine my surprise when painting found me!

My best friend from Poland attended Vedic Art course that got her so excited that she just couldn’t stop talking about it. I was happy for her, but also a bit sad that I didn’t have that kind of painting talent.  I still believed painting was for the ‘chosen ones’. Then from time to time the thought of painting kept creeping up my mind. And little things I couldn’t ignore happened, like finding art materials at 2 euro shop, friends talking about wanting a painting to put on their wall ... Chance? Maybe. One day I got some of those cheap materials and got my whole family to spend an evening painting from the heart. And each of us actually created something that could be put up on the wall! The process of connecting with my Creator Within already started.

After a year my friend became a teacher and invited me to one of her first courses. I felt a bit stuck in life at that point and finances were not there, but I made a decision that I will go, just for fun. Like by a touch of magic wand, I suddenly became busy at work and made enough money to pay for the trip. Plane tickets were really cheap for the exact days I needed them for, and for no other ones ... Chance? Maybe.

So I went, I painted and ... I conquered my inner demons. The process was fun but it was also deep. I found some barriers that I had to overcome, I faced my fears and I learned more about myself in those few days than in few years of therapy. After I got home I was finally able to finish the book I was writing for the past year. And those really cool ideas, that could help me run my business better, started to surface. I was on a roll and I was happy. I couldn’t wait to attend the second level of Vedic Art, which I did just a couple of months later.

The next step that came naturally was becoming a teacher.  This worked out like magic, again. I really, really wanted to go to the place where Vedic Art came from to become a teacher, but the next course in Sweden was to commence in a year. I had a feeling that I needed to do that by the end of 2012. Following the rule that ‘those who do not ask, do not find’ I wrote Johannes Kallman - the son of Vedic Art founder - Curt , and the head of the Vedic Art School in Sweden. To my surprise I got an almost immediate answer and he invited me to his home for a private course! How could I not go? Well, the finances again - but it all worked out right after I made a decision to go. It all works out if something is meant for you, but you must first make up your mind and confirm your decision with the first step. Mine was booking the plane tickets. Then everything else just went with the flow.

I have to admit that from the moment the Goddess of Art found me, I cannot stop creating. All other things that I loved to do have naturally shifted into the background. Painting is my passion. Spiritual development is my path. Teaching others how to find their spirituality through painting is my life’s purpose.  When I paint, the whole world disappears, problems cease to exist and all there’s left is a pure Spirit. Come join me!
